Mental Health Organisations

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. To help start the conversation we have compiled a list of some organisations that support people with their mental health.

Arts Sector Specific Organisations

Arts & Health Hub The Arts & Health Hub is a not-for-profit organisation that supports artists and cultural producers (curators etc) interested in or working in the field of arts and health. Arts Minds ArtsMinds is a collaboration between BAPAM, Equity, The Stage and Spotlight. This information hub has a collection of links to sources of help and advice for those in the entertainment industry. British Association For Performing Arts Medicine BAPAM deliver health and wellbeing services for those working in the performing arts. The organisation connect those working and studying in the arts with clinical specialists, provide information to prevent poor health and support recovery. Music Minds Matter A dedicated support service for those working within the music industry. Music Mind Matters has a free helpline and can offer emotional support and advice. Industry Minds

Industry Minds is an arts mental health support platform. They host a podcast where they talk to arts professionals about mental health issues within the sector. Performers In Mind Performers in Mind is a non-profit organisation working to campaign for mental health action in the arts.

Worcestershire Specific Organisations:

Worcestershire Wellbeing Hub Information and signposting service for people over the age of 16 who are experiencing low mood, anxiety or stress, and feel that they would benefit from support from local community providers Worcestershire Healthy Minds Supports people, aged 16 and over, who are experiencing problems such as stress, anxiety, low mood and depression. They help people improve their mental wellbeing through a range of interventions such as short courses, talking therapies, and self-help information.

Leapers Leapers is a peer-support community supporting the mental health of the self-employed, curating and creating resources to help you create a plan to work well when working for yourself.
